Cool architecture made out of reinforced concrete, steel and glass; individuals that need to hurt themselves to feel alive; small human figures striving against the ostensible superiority of buildings. Solitudes is an attempt to show my perception of the world surrounding me; a world that is marked by a constant oscillation between solidness and fragility; fortitude and weakness. These images question man's seemingly increasing estrangement from his environment.

The play between the light and the structures supports the oscillation depicted in the series, which reflects on the different meanings of the word "solitude" – interpreting it not only in its negative connotation but also acknowledging its positive aspects.
